Meet Our Founder

Hi there! I’m Shakisha Stringer, Founder of Drive Wise! I was born and raised right here in Spartanburg, South Carolina and I’m very proud to serve the same community that shaped me.

I’m also a wife and a mom of three boys — so I understand firsthand how important it is to feel confident when your loved ones are on the road.

I’ve spent over seven years helping students go from nervous beginners to confident, capable drivers. In that time, I’ve learned that driving instruction is about so much more than teaching road signs and parallel parking — it’s about building trust, creating a calm learning environment and helping people overcome their fears one step at a time.

What started as a part-time gig quickly turned into a calling. I realized I wasn’t just teaching people how to drive — I was helping them feel safe, seen and supported behind the wheel. That’s the kind of experience I aim to create at Drive Wise: one where students walk away with not just a license but the confidence and awareness to make safety a lifestyle.

How Drive Wise Began

Drive Wise Driving School was built on a simple but powerful belief: learning to drive should feel safe — not stressful.

From day one, our goal has been to provide driver education that’s grounded in patience, real-world experience and personal support.

We’ve grown by staying committed to helping every student feel prepared and empowered, whether they’re 15 or 55.

We don’t rush the process. We meet students where they are — and help them get where they need to go.
